In this video you will see the best of Carrollton, Texas. This parade is one of my favorite things to see of the year. I love the spirit of the students and faculty of Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD. Creekview High School was built on the former Crumley farm in northwest Carrollton. The school opened in August 1998 with ninth and tenth-grade students. The school added a grade each year with the first senior class graduating in 2001.
Creekview’s Law and Criminal Justice Academy provides opportunities for students to explore various aspects of the American legal system. Students may choose from the Law, Law Enforcement, or the Political Science strands, compete on our Mock Trial or Moot Court teams, and study through either the traditional or Dual Credit pathway.
Experiences both in and out of the classroom help students build relationships and leadership skills, critical thinking and reasoning skills, and oral advocacy skills which will be valuable both in the legal profession as well as any other career path a student might choose after high school. The Academy of Future Teachers is the newest academy at Creekview High School! Establishing a partnership and pipeline with CFBISD to allow graduates to continue their education and return to the district as full time employees! Students learn about qualities of effective educators, teaching strategies, assisting special populations and effective verbal and written communication. Students gain work-based learning experience starting their Junior year during class as an intern in a school of their choice! Community service, college visits, monthly career connections and career panels, and scholarship searching are built into the course curriculum.
